Randall G. Hettinger

Randall G. Hettinger, of Rebersburg, passed from this life on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at his home.  He was 82.  Born March 13, 1940, in Spring Mills, Randall was a son of the late Clayton and Dora “Biddle” Hettinger.  On March 14, 1959, he married Mary M. Kerstetter who survives at home. 

Randall was employed at Hanover Foods retiring from there with 37 years of service.  During that time, he also farmed, and he and Mary bought Hettinger’s Grocery in Rebersburg, which they still own.  He attended God’s Missionary Church in Rebersburg and was a member of the Miles Township Fire Company.  In his earlier years, Randall enjoyed hunting, fishing and collecting all kind of model cars.  He also enjoyed riding his golf cart around town and driving the Amish children and their teachers to school. 

In addition to his wife Mary, Randall is survived by two sons, Stephen Hettinger of Rebersburg and Randy Hettinger (Deborah) of Milton; four grandchildren, Diana Buss (Jason), Krysta Moyer (Tylor) and Jordan and Ashton Hiles and three great grandchildren, Keighan, Finnley and Cooper.  Also surviving are siblings Donald Hettinger (Linda) and Joyce Hettinger both of Rebersburg, and Jean Tice of Julian.  Randall was preceded in death by his daughter Debra Hiles and siblings, Thelma Pyle, Janet Pennepacker, Marie McCool, Patricia Wance and Kenneth Hettinger. 

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, from 9:00 am – 11:00 am at the God’s Missionary Church, 145 Back Alley in Rebersburg, followed by the memorial service at 11:00 am with Pastor John Zechman officiating.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Randall may be given to God’s Missionary Church, c/o Peg Bennett, 157 Rockville Road, Rebersburg, PA 16872.
