Renee C. (Knode) Buck

Renee C. Buck, of Coburn, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Mount Nittany Medical Center after a valiant fight with cancer.  She was 56.  Born April 21, 1967, in Huntingdon, Renee was a daughter of Robert C. Knode and the late Arthenia B. “Uttley” Knode.  She was a graduate of Juniata Valley High School.  On November 12, 1999, Renee married Jody Buck who survives.

In addition to her husband and father, Renee is survived by two sons, Jeremy Roehrl of Raleigh, NC and Austin B. Buck of Coburn.  Also surviving are three siblings, Robin Hammond (Rick), Joel Frehn (Sally) and Robert “Giz” Knode II (Gena). 

Before her illness caused her to give up her job, Renee held the position of Postmaster at the U.S. Post Office in Coburn.  There Renee cultivated many friendships with the people of the community.  Renee loved animals.  She had a lifelong love for horses, having grown up owning several.  She also enjoyed drawing and painting.  Most of all Renee cherished the time she spent with her husband and family. 

In accordance with Renee’s wishes there are no public services.  Renee will be laid to rest in Mooresville Cemetery in Petersburg.  Contributions in memory of Renee may be given to Pets Come First, 2451 General Potter Hwy, Centre Hall, PA 16828.
