Rita G. Musser, of Coburn, passed away Monday, December 6, 2021 at Wynwood House in Boalsburg. She was 84. Born August 10, 1937 in Coburn, Rita was a daughter of the late Mae I. Stover. She was a graduate of the former East Penns Valley High School. On September 21, 1956, Rita married Robert W. Musser, Sr., who preceded Rita in death in 2005.
Rita worked alongside of Bob on the family farm. The chores were many and varied. She loved vegetable gardening and canning the fruits of her labors for their growing family. She also enjoyed flower gardening, playing bingo and attending Grange Fair. Every Friday Rita enjoyed having her friends to the farmhouse for coffee club. Rita was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Keystone Post #444 in Millheim and the Spring Mills Grange. She had attended St. James United Methodist Church in Coburn and Faith Alive Fellowship in Spring Mills.
Rita is survived by three sons, Herbert F. Musser of Bellefonte, Robert W. Musser, Jr. (Tricia) of Taylorsville, KY and Richard S. Musser (Michelle) of Coburn. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Bobby (Amber), Richie (Bree), John, Sarah (Tom), Jenni (Corey), Jessi (AJ) and Julie along with eleven great grandchildren. In addition to her mother and husband, Rita was preceded in death by one daughter, Lori A. Dillman, siblings, Ruth and Ward Stover and her best furry friend, Libby.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021 from 10:00 am until noon at the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home in Millheim, followed by the funeral service at noon with Pastor Andy Cooley officiating. Rita will be laid to rest in the Paradise Cemetery in Spring Mills. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Rita may be given to The Hope Fund of Penns Valley, POB 427, Centre Hall, PA 16828 or Penns Valley EMS, 106 Ross Hill Road, Spring Mills, PA 16875 or to Pets Come First, 2451 General Potter Hwy, Centre Hall, PA 16828.
