Robert A. Cowher, Sr.

Robert A. Cowher, Sr., of Millheim passed away Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College.  He was 66.  Born March 26, 1956 in Bellefonte, Robert was a son of the late Joseph Cowher and Helen “Alterio” Cowher of Millheim.  He was a 1974 graduate of Penns Valley Area High School. 

Robert was employed as a Trucking Manager for Link America, working in Missouri, Texas, and Florida before returning to PA.  He enjoyed shooting pool and was an avid Penn State football and Pittsburgh Steeler football fan.

Robert is survived by three sons, Robert A. Cowher, Jr. (Kristen) of Millheim, James Joseph Cowher and, Adam Cowher of IN; two sisters, Brenda Bartley (Lewis) of Millheim and Sue Neideigh (Courtney) of Aaronsburg; three brothers, Rick Cowher (Patty) of Castanea, Buddy Cowher (Beth) of Millheim and Charles Cowher (Janet)of Centre Hall.  Also surviving are four grandchildren, Sierra, Alexis, Holden and Destiny; five step grandchildren, Dominick, Robbie, Tori, Zachary and Seth, and one great granddaughter, Lanisa.  In addition to his father, Robert was preceded in death by two sisters, JoAnn and Holly and two brothers, Joe “Butch” and Doug.

A service is being planned for a later date.
