Shirley M. (Shook) Houser

Shirley M. Houser, formerly of Spring Mills, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Centre Care in Bellefonte.  She was 91.  Born April 23, 1930 in Spring Mills, Shirley was a daughter of the late Christ Daniel and Annetta K. "Decker" Shook.  

Shirley graduated from the former Gregg Township Vocational School in Spring Mills.  On April 6, 1957 she married John H. Houser who survives.  Shirley worked alongside John on the family dairy farm and helped him deliver milk also.  She was a member of the Centre County Farm Bureau and the Salem Lutheran Church in Aaronsburg.  

Shirley was preceded in death by three siblings, Boyd and Jake Shook and Bernice Beahm. 

In accordance with all family wishes, all services are private. Shirley will be laid to rest in Heckman Cemetery.
