Terry S. Brungart, Sr., 84, of Livonia, passed away December 16, 2020 at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born July 26, 1936 in Rebersburg, Terry was a son of the late Kenneth and Irene “Stover” Brungart. He was a 1954 graduate of the former Miles Township High School. On July 4, 1959 he married Joanne Douty who preceded him in death in 2014.
Terry was employed as a Maintenance Foreman at Penn State University. He retired in 1992 with 35+ years of service. He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1956-1960. Terry was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church in Rebersburg and a lifetime member of the NRA. He was an avid hunter and fisherman in his earlier years. Terry loved to throw sticks for his dogs, watch Steeler and Penn State football and go to the casinos.
Terry is survived by three children, Michele Hughes (Martin) of Mechanicsurg, Terry S. Brungart (Mary Kay) of Rebersburg and Timothy R. Brungart of Livonia; three grandchildren, Timothy R. Brungart, Jr., Nicole R. Brungart and Katie F. Hughes; and three great grandchildren, Nina A. Eyer, Layla B. Brungart and Liam Brungart. Also surviving are two sisters, Phyllis Walker, and Leona “Sue” Myers (Barry); one brother, Byron Brungart (Jeanne), and Terry’s special companion, Susan Johnson. Terry was preceded in death by siblings Larry Brungart and Patricia Van Horn.
Terry will be laid to rest in the Livonia Cemetery during a private graveside service to be held at a later date. Contributions in his memory may be given to the Penns Valley EMS, 106 Ross Hill Road, Spring Mills, PA 16875.
