William J. Toy

William J. Toy, of Rebersburg, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College.  He was 80.  Born May 19, 1942, in Kittanning, he was a son of the late William Lee and LaVerne (Johnston) Toy.  On July 26, 1969, he married Jeanne Wolfe who survives at their home. 

William proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict.  He was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 30 + years.  William was a member of the Centre Hall Free Masons and also a member of the former Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Rebersburg, now Brush Valley United Methodist Church where he served the community in different capacities during church functions.  He loved to help people in any way he could.  In his spare time William loved fishing and golfing. 

In addition to his wife Jeanne, William is survived by one daughter, Barbara Bundy (Jonathan) of Londonderry, NH; one son, William D. Toy (Luciano) of Bellefonte; two sisters, Janie Leslie and Sonja Emminger and one grandson, William Bundy also of Londonderry, NH.  William was preceded in death by siblings, Allen Toy, Sharon Long and Jill Calhoun.

A gathering of friends and family will be held on April 24, 2023, from 5-7 pm at the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home in Millheim.  Please bring a memory to share.  The family does ask that due to severe medical issues and allergies within the family…..PLEASE DO NOT send flowers.  Instead, consider giving contribution in William’s memory to Penns Valley EMS, 106 Ross Hill Road, Spring Mills, PA 16875.  William will be laid to rest in the Evangelical Cemetery in Rebersburg at a later date.
