Martin A. Moyer, of Philipsburg, passed away from cancer. He was 46. Born November 12, 1971 in Bellefonte, Martin was a son of the late Ross A. Moyer and Bonita D. (Summers) Moyer. He was a 1990 graduate of Philipsburg Osceola High School. He went on to attend the Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport.
Martin proudly served his country from 1990-1994 in the U.S. Navy as a wingman aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt-CVN 71. One of the deployments was during Operation Desert Storm. Upon returning from the military, Martin was employed at Weis Markets in Philipsburg. Martin loved life. He lived a simple life with a great attitude. He loved to go target shooting, fishing and out to eat with his friends.
Martin is survived by siblings Brian Moyer, Spencer and Steffany Moyer, and Deborah Moyer, along with two step-sisters, Alexandra Reed and Anastasia Ackerman.
Martin will be laid to rest in the Lutheran & Reformed Cemetery in Rebersburg during a public graveside service to be held on Monday, June 18th at 11:00 am with Pastor Chris Korn officiating.
