Arthur Bobb Obituary

Arthur Evans Bobb, formerly of Woodward, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 10, 2022 at Wynwood House-Salem Hill Haven in Spring Mills.  He was 89.  Born November 28, 1932 in Lewisburg, Art was a son of the late Arthur J. and Leva K. “King” Bobb.  He was a graduate of Penns Valley High School and was self- employed as a brick mason.

Art enjoyed being outdoors.  Some of his favorite activities were hunting, fishing with family in his younger years, cutting firewood and reading his Bible.  He especially loved to gather at his cabin with family.  Art served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.  He was a member of the Valley Mennonite Chapel in Brush Valley.  Art enjoyed documenting many things in the valley.  He then turned the images in to slide shows that he would share with the residents at Salem Hill Haven with his sister Candace as his narrator.

Art is survived by one daughter, Shelly Savage of VA; four sons, Patrick Bobb of Port Matilda, Michael Bobb and Sean Bobb (Margaret) both of Hailfax, and Chris Eborn of England; three sisters, Candace Braucht and Lucy Shaffer (Larry) both of Coburn and Ann Stover of Lewisburg; three grandsons, Shannon, Quinton and Michael, and four great grandchildren, Novlie, Scanlon, Justin and Jetta.  Also surviving is special friend, caregiver and sister, Patty Weyman (Rich) of Woodward; a special daughter in law, Brenda Confer; numerous nieces and nephews and many other close friends.  In addition to his parents, Art was preceded in death by one grandson, Justin Bobb.

Art will be laid to rest in Woodward Cemetery during a private family service.  There will be a public memorial service announced at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Art may be given to the Valley Mennonite Chapel, c/o Andrew Freed, 250 Smullton Road, Rebersburg PA 16872 or to Penns Valley EMS, 106 Ross Hill Road, Spring Mills, PA 16875.
