Casey L.Gunsallus of Millheim, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, February 12, 2023, at his residence. He was 34. Born December 13, 1988, in State College, Casey was a son of Rickey L. Gunsallus of Aaronsburg and Kimber L. Poorman of Rebersburg.
Casey was a 2007 graduate of Penns Valley Area High School. He was the owner/operator of his own construction business, Casey’s Quality Construction. He took great pride in his work, loved his job and enjoyed helping people. Casey enjoyed riding motorcycles, camping, kayaking, bowling, hunting, fishing and attending music festivals. Most of all, Casey enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Casey is survived by the love of his life, Sheena Meyer and their children, Avery A. and Maddox I. Gunsallus of Millheim: two brothers, Adam Wintermute of Rebersburg and Kevin Poorman (Emilee) and their son, Corey Poorman of Lock Haven. Also surviving is his paternal grandmother, Sandy Gunsallus of Millheim: Sheena’s mother, Stacy Meyer of Hawaii and his beloved canine friend and companion, Naia. Casey was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Phyllis Houser, maternal grandfather, Donald Bellows and paternal grandfather, Harold Gunsallus.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023, from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home in Millheim. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with lay pastor Ryan Shawver officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Casey may be given to Steven R. Neff Funeral Home, POB 437, Millheim, PA 16854.
