Gary Lynn Shay

Gary Lynn Shay, of Madisonburg, passed away May 27, 2020 at Mount Nittany Hospital in State College.  He was 66.  Born October 9, 1953 in Bellefonte, Gary was a son of the late Joseph Klinger and Olive (Smith) Shay.  On November 10, 1984 he married Shirley Ann Harter who preceded him in death on June 30, 2009.

Gary was employed as a block/brick mason.  He enjoyed putting together model cars and watching western movies and TV shows. 

Gary is survived by two daughters, Danielle Ann Berenbrok (Paul) of Milesburg and Julie Lynn Shay-Rodriguez (Christian) of Boalsburg; two brothers, Terry Shay and Michael Shay; four sisters, Wendy Shay, Sheila Davis, Janice “Mary” Harpster (Steve) and Kimberly Witmer, and four grandchildren, Abrielle Berenbrok, Willie Berenbrok, C.C. Rodriguez and Jovani Rodriguez.  Gary was preceded in death by one sister, Vivian Petersen, an infant brother, Theodore Shay and one niece, Malinda Harpster.
