Louise Grenoble Obituary

With her loving husband by her side, Louise E. Grenoble, of Spring Mills passed from this life on Sunday, April 17, 2022 at Greenwood Centre in Lewistown.  She was 77.  Born September 14, 1944 in Bellefonte, Louise was a daughter of the late Edward and Viola “Rossman” McCallister.  On July 4, 1976, she married the love of her life, Donald C. Grenoble who survives. 

Over the years, Louise was very active in her community.  She was a member of the Gregg Township Ladies Auxiliary where she held various offices.  For 47 years, Louise assisted her husband with the Gregg Township EMA Director duties.  She ran ambulance for years with the Gregg Township Ambulance Club, was a NAMA volunteer for various roles and held various volunteer roles with the Grange Fair.  Louise sold Avon for years, worked at the former Riverside Grocery store when she was young, and worked part time at the Penns Valley School District.  She was a dedicated caregiver to family members through the years.  Among her favorites hobbies were camping, snowmobiling, watching hummingbirds, spending time with family, shopping for blouses, country music, traveling, watching Steeler football and Nascar, collecting oil lamps and last but not least, making whoopie pies for her family.

In addition to her husband, Louise is survived by one son; Van Holsinger (Lisa); two step daughters, Denise Meyers (George) and Victoria Alexander; one step son, Dennis Devlin (Sharon); thirteen grandchildren, Brooks Meyers (Tricia), Melanie Meyers, Noah Meyers (Patti), Kenny Toner (Susan), Jennifer Chandler (Nathan), Haven Alexander, Shelly Beamesderfer (Chris), Dennis Neideigh, Alexa Holsinger, Abby Holsinger, Shannon Wright (Kyle) and Amber Dahl (Eric).  Also surviving are nine great grandchildren, Hunter, Ian, Aiden, Sean, Kourtney, AJ, Ruby, Rocco and Allie Marie and three nephews, Jay Corl (Pam), Doug Corl (Melanie) and Gary Corl.  Louise was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Corl; a stepdaughter, Donna Neideigh and a great grandson, Teddy Meyers. 

Receiving of family and friends will be held on Friday, April 22, 2022 from 10-11 am at the Gregg Township Fire Hall in Spring Mills.  The Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00 am with Pastor Theresa Heiser officiating.  Louise will be laid to rest in the Mountain Cemetery in rural Spring Mills at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Louise’s memory may be given to the Gregg Township Ladies Auxiliary, Po Box 71, Spring Mills, PA 16875.
