Merryann Herritt, 77, of Easton, PA, passed away peacefully at home in Spring Mills, PA on May 30, 2022. Merryann was born on July 20th, 1944 in Easton, PA to Herman Fair and Mary (Reuther) Fair. In 1959, while a student at Easton Area High School, Merryann met the love of her life on a blind date, Arthur D. Herritt. They immediately hit it off, marrying a year later, having two children: Arthur Anthony and Christina Marie.
Merryann loved her children and took great pride in being an at home mom always putting her children before herself. She was loving, kind, and caring. All of the neighborhood kids knew they were welcome at the home. As her children got older and pursued their own careers, Merryann courageously pursued her own dream of a career in cosmetology. She excelled in cosmetology school and subsequently in the beauty industry. After years of hard work and dedication, she realized her dream of owning and operating her own beauty shop and did so successfully for several years.
Merryann was passionate about gardening and her flowers. She loved sunflowers and hummingbirds. Above all she absolutely loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was always the first to grab a hug and kiss on the little ones and could call a mean BINGO game for the older kids with great prizes. We will miss her greatly.
Merryann was predeceased by her father, Herman Fair and her mother, Mary (Reuther) Cantalupo and step father, Anthony Cantalupo.
She is survived by her husband Arthur and their two children: Arthur A. Herritt and wife June Herritt and Christina Daley and husband Robert Daley, six grandchildren (Tabatha Olin, Samantha Tooman, Sabrina Herritt, Alexander Daley, Collin Daley, Brendon Daley), and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, John Cantalupo and wife, Donna Cantalupo.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home, 120 W. Main Street, Millheim, PA on Saturday, June 4th from 10am to 11am followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am. Burial will take place at a later date at the Indiantown Gap Cemetery.
