Rhelda Jane (Libby) Weaver, 89, formerly of Aaronsburg, PA, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Rolling Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation in Millmont. Everyone knew her by her middle name Jane. Born in Swengel, PA, Jane was the daughter of Wilbur and Helen (Zimmerman) Libby. Jane grew up in Millmont and graduated from Mifflinburg High School in 1950. She married Earl Weaver of Aaronsburg, August 26 of that year and lived her entire married life in Aaronsburg.
After her children were school age, Jane worked at Valley Manufacturing, a daycare center, and Burkholder’s Market, all of Millheim. She was a loving and gentle wife and mother and a sweet and caring woman. She loved going to church, reading her Bible and praying. A coarse word never passed her lips. Jane was an excellent cook and loved to go shopping. She dressed beautifully and never missed her weekly hair appointment. In her later years before her eyesight failed she enjoyed painting ceramic figurines and wooden craft pieces.
Jane is survived by her sons Wayne (Valerie), Greg and Kent (Amanda). She has three grandchildren: Kirk (Mary), Eric and Jesse (Adrian) and four great grandchildren: Teagan, Rileigh, Preston and Colton. Jane is also survived by a sister Ruby (Bill) Templin of Milton and sisters-in-laws, Julie and Pauline Libby. In addition to her husband Earl, Jane was preceded in death by brothers, Jacque and Gordon Libby and, a granddaughter in law, Nina.
In accordance with family wishes, all services are private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Jane may be given to Alzheimers Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601. Jane will be laid to rest in Salem Lutheran Cemetery in Aaronsburg.
