From my earliest memories Aunt Cook has played a major role in my world and life. Her three children, my brothers, sister, our cousins and I grew up together, played together and often shared the same home together. We were a very close family and were seldom apart. She, and her generation gave us an unrestricted love and acceptance that was born out of the trials of their times and is seldom seen today. Meeting and marrying Ed Bellis was one of the most wonderful events of her life. He took her from of a time of hopelessness to one of joy and she loved him dearly. For all he did I will be eternally grateful. It was with tea and candy in hand that I visited her that last time. We sat together singing the songs from her youth, smiling and laughing. When I kissed her and told her that I loved I knew it was for the last time. Now the winged angel who'd stood watch over her bed those last hours has escorted her into the eternal company of the others who love her as we do. Someday, when her Master returns, we will see her again. But until that day she will live in our hearts influencing the world around us by the gifts she left within us. So, for now, goodbye Aunt Cook, give our regards to the rest of the family and always remember, you are loved and will be missed.
