Kathryn “Kate” E. Stitzer, 94, formerly of 107 Cooper St., Spring Mills, for over 50 years, entered into rest at 8:10 p.m., Monday, October 19, 2015, at Centre Crest, Bellefonte. She was born November, 24, 1920, in Spring Mills, a daughter of the late Clarence and Margaret (Lingle) Ebert.  On December 15, 1938, in Millheim, she married Harry Y. Stitzer, who preceded her in death August 20, 1992.

Kate was a member of the Grace United Church of Christ, Spring Mills. She was employed at Gettig Engineering and Manufacturing, Spring Mills, for over 20 years.Kate was a member of the Gregg Township Ladies Auxillary. She enjoyed sitting on her front porch swing, reading her bible, circle word searches, knitting, crocheting, and cooking and baking for her family.

Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Gene C. and Ginger Stitzer of Aaronsburg, Larry J. and Sandra Stitzer of Spring Mills, and Thomas J. and Sharon Stitzer of Spring Mills; one daughter, Patricia Eileen Berglin, of Fairbanks, Alaska; two brothers, Richard Ebert of Cogan Station, and Neil Ebert of Williamsport; one sister, Doris Hill of Williamsport; 17 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and 27 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Alice Karbinas; one daughter-in-law, Yvonne Stitzer; and two grandchildren, Tersilla Berglin, and Bobby Stitzer.

Family and friends are welcome to a time of visitation from 10 to 11 a.m., Monday, at the Grace United Church of Christ, 118 Two Steeple Lane, Spring Mills, where a memorial service will be conducted at 11, with Pastor Leigh Pick, officiating.

Private interment will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Spring Mills, at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Grace United Church of Christ, P.O. Box 313, Spring Mills, PA 16875.
