Margaret Anna (White) Shoener, 87, formerly of Spring Mills, passed away Thursday, May 21 at Valley View Haven, Belleville. She was born on December 30, 1927 in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Walter and Anna (McGee) White.
Margaret was married to her late husband, CMSgt. Lamar Shoener for 67 years and traveled most of Europe and the United States while he was serving in the Air Force.
Margaret worked for the First National Bank in Centre Hall and was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, watching figure skating, and doing puzzle books. Margaret most enjoyed the time spent with her children, grandchildren, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Lamar Shoener in 2014 and grandson Matthew Shoener in 2008.
Margaret is survived by her daughter Karen Ewing of Lewistown and son Richard (Mary Anne) Shoener of Conover, NC; grandchildren Sherry (Thomas) Jameson, Robert Ewing, Shawn (Shelby) Ewing, and Jenny Shoener; great-grandchildren, Ian Jameson, Alexis DeHass-Ewing, Erika Ewing, Seth Ewing-Hendricks, Wyatt Sharp, Kyle Ewing, and Brooke Jameson.
A Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Fr. George Jokopac will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 5, 2015 at Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Roman Catholic Church, 3503 Penns Valley Road, Spring Mills, PA 16875. The family will receive friends at the church an hour prior to mass. Margaret will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Millheim.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Margaret may be given to a charity of your choice.
