Martha S. (Walter) Stover, 95, of Mifflinburg, passed away in her home on August 16, 2015. She was born August 21, 1919 in Glen Iron to her parents, Rhoda A. (Keister) and Carbon A. Walter. Martha graduated from Mifflinburg High School in 1935. On August 21, 1942 she married Earl L. Stover at St. John's Lutheran Church, Millheim.
She was employed for several years at First National Bank in State College. She then worked as a secretary at Penn State University from 1969-1982 until her retirement. Martha enjoyed hunting with her husband. She also loved working in the garden and tending to her flowers.
She is survived by a sister, Rhoda Althea “Al” Weaver of Mifflinburg, two nephews; Robert (Faylene) Weaver of Macon, GA. and Dennis (Linda) Weaver of Mifflinburg.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband Earl, and her brother-in-law, John Weaver.
At Martha’s request services will be private. Mrs. Stover will be laid to rest next to her husband Earl in the Fairview Cemetery, Millheim.
